Do you? Really??

If you’re with the ANZ, you can visit the Rangiora branch on Wednesdays, 9 am-12 pm. That’s all. And only for simple transactions, not to open an account or do anything complicated. Not for foreign currency.  If you’re wanting anything other than a simple transaction, check their website or give them a ring first, before you make the trip.

If you’re with the BNZ, the Rangiora branch is now opening on Thursdays, 10 am – 2 pm. The Rangiora BNZ has ‘smart ATMs’ available 24/7 which include full deposit capability.

If you’re with someone else, I didn’t research it.

The message here is, really, do you need to visit the branch? Or is it time to use phone or internet banking?

You can still phone your bank. You can also use a trusted friend or relative to help you with anything online – see earlier post about how to do this remotely.

If anyone has updates about other banks, feel free to add them in Comments.

By the way, the help pages encourage people to use the ATMs. Just wash your hands before and after. (So, please, no comments about how people shouldn’t be using cash. Supermarkets, pharmacists and service stations are wearing gloves and can sanitise it; no one else should be touching it anyway. No one needs any unnecessary criticism right now. Be kind.)
